VA-CA-TION!

Happy Sunday my friends!

I dont normally post on Sundays but I am leaving for vacation tomorrow and don't know how often or if I will have the chance to update this week!

Did I mention Im going on vacation? What? Twice already? Im sorry, just excited!

Looking forward to the week ahead but also taking the time to enjoy friends we haven't seen a in a while this weekend.

Friday I got to spend the afternoon with my friend Mandie who lives on the other side of the state. I can't tell you how nice it was to have "girl time"! About 5 straight hours of just talking is what this girl needs sometimes!

Jeremy, Brian and Myself...we aren't so good at this..where is Mandie?
Ok, thats better!
Last night we met up with Mandie and Jeremy(who introduced me to my love, Brian) and a few other people for dinner and dessert at Cheesecake Factory. Its so nice when Mandie is over this way and we can have couple "Dates"!

Today we had friends of ours over for lunch after church. We met Paul and Rachel at church back in January right after their first wedding in Korea. Rachel is from Korea and met Paul while in the states working as an Au Pair. They are getting married here on the beach next weekend so that their american family members can celebrate with them! Unfortunately we wont be back from vacation until after their wedding but Im glad we got to spend time with them today. Rachel just got back this week from finishing her last semester of college in Korea. I can't imagine spending the first 4 months apart from my husband but God is good and gave them the strength to do it! Looking forward to getting to know them both more, I can already tell Rachel and I have a lot in common!

Brian and I have been married for 4 months now and I have to admit, I thought it would be easier to make a few girlfriends by now! Im so grateful for the church family we have at Harvest and look forward to building stronger relationships there. Brian laughs at me but seriously, you girls in the blogging community have helped me to feel connected. It can be very lonely starting a new chapter of your life in a new place! Thanks girls!

Well, this girl has a little more laundry and packing to do for our VA-CA-TION!! Cannot wait! Have a lovely week and hopefully i'll be able to update later this week!

P.S. Check out my patriotic nails :-)
